1:1 Teaching Assistant with MDS responsibilities

This position is for 31 hours a week paid at:

G3 6-9 Salary for 28.5 hours a week

G2 3 Salary for 2.5 hours a week

Cowbit St Mary’s Church of England Primary School is a small, inclusive school on the outskirts of Spalding. We pride ourselves on our Christian values as well as our friendly, welcoming staff and pupils.

We are looking to appoint a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to provide support to a child who has an Educational Health Care Plan.

The successful candidate will ensure that the child they support makes excellent progress in all areas of a carefully modified curriculum, to reflect their needs. You will spend most of your time in the classroom or working on a 1:1 basis.

You will be:

The successful candidate will:

· Have good English and Maths skills (GCSE Grade 4 or equivalent) and NVQ 2 (or equivalent)

Previous experience would be an advantage, but training will be given. Training will be provided for safeguarding, first aid and Makaton.
