Healthy Relationships
Healthy Relationships
On Friday 6th December, Year 1 to Year 6 welcomed Tom from Lincolnshire Police.
In Elm Class, Tom, taught us about our emotions. We thought about things that make us happy, scared, excited, anxious and angry. Tom brought us his tool box and we played a game of hide and seek to find Tom's tools. The tools were useful things we could use to help us with our emotions.
Maple Class completed a workshop all about healthy relationships between peers. We learnt about boundaries and how, even if we want to do something nice like hug someone, we must have their permission. We completed a task together as a class which helped us to understand conflict from another person's point of view, and we went on to learn how to resolve conflicts in a healthy and constructive way.
Oak Class played a game where they were taught ways of dealing with conflict and given scenarios and asked how they would deal with those situations. They gained or lost points depending on how they dealt with the situation and also used some strategies that were shown to them in our previous healthy minds workshop.
