This is a temporary position for 6 months which may be extended.
Salary: G4 9-12 Actual Salary: £21,968 - £23,194
Hours 37 hours per week
Normal working hours will be:
- Monday to Thursday 8.30-4.30pm (1/2hr lunch)
- Friday 8.30-4pm (1/2hr lunch)
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Administrator to join our wonderful school. To be able to achieve this, we need to have a team of dedicated and caring individuals, who will contribute to our small, family Christian ethos.
We are seeking to appoint an experienced and enthusiastic Administrator who will complement the professional work of Teachers, support our Headteacher and teaching staff and be committed to safeguarding and supportive of the ethos of our school.
Main Responsibilities, Tasks and Duties
The Administrator will need to be able to organise the day to day running of the general office. Duties will include:
- Telephone answering and reception duties.
- Providing administrative support, including filing and reprographics;
- Assisting with general administration of trips.
- Registers and monitoring pupil attendance.
- Maintain records, including admissions, leavers and students records.
- Handle cash, which may include collecting money from pupils and parents.
- Administrative support for the Headteacher;
- Administering first aid for pupils (training to be provided)
- Communicating with parents and external agencies
The successful candidate will:
- Ideally have knowledge of Business World / Hoople accounting & HR system
- Have a cheerful, warm, and welcoming personality with the ability to communicate with children and adults alike.
- Be reliable, efficient, flexible, organised and able to prioritise to meet deadlines.
- Be able to work as work as part of a team and be willing to learn.
- Good ICT skills including use of Microsoft Office programmes
Candidates should have:
- GCSE Maths and English (Grade C or above) or an equivalent qualification.
- Experience of working in an office environment Previous experience of working in a school is desirable but not essential as training and support will be provided.
