Both positions are term time plus 4 weeks (42 weeks).

Cowbit St Mary's Church of England Primary School is looking for a Caretaker and Cleaner to join our school team. One person can be appointed for both roles.

As Caretaker you will be responsible for the routine maintenance of the school site and as Cleaner you will be responsible for all of the cleaning throughout the school.

The Caretaker position is initially for 5 hours per week (1 hour per day) which will be reviewed in March 2021 and the Cleaning position is for 15 hours per week.

We are looking for someone with a strong sense of pride in their work; someone who believes in doing a job to the best of their ability and with an eye for detail.

We are looking for a hands on, positive, caring and self-motivated person with a 'can do' work ethic. You will have good practical skills and a strong awareness of safe working practices. Start Date 1st January 2021.

Caretaker

5 hours per week - times to be confirmed.
Keeping grounds safe, clean and tidy
Decorating skills
Health & safety checks and record keeping
Key holder duties/ opening and locking up and setting alarm (additional pay for alarm call outs)
General routine repairs and maintenance
General porterage

Cleaner

3 hours per day - times to be confirmed

Some key holder duties
Cleaning of school site

Training for both positions will be available

Midday Supervisory Assistant

Temporary until July 2021

Cowbit St Mary's Church of England Primary School is looking for a Midday Supervisor Assistant to start immediately.

The position is temporary until July 2021 (to be reviewed) for 5 hours per week (1 hour per day). At Cowbit St Mary's, we have very high standards and expectations of the children and the staff.

We are looking for a hands on, happy, caring and self-motivated person with a 'can do' work ethic to join our friendly team.

The post involves ensuring the pupils have an enjoyable, safe and sociable lunchtime. The post holder will be responsible for ensuring the lunch areas are a safe environment, serving hot lunches and clearing away afterwards. You will also join with the school in actively encouraging a healthy lifestyle and will be expected to join the children and staff by going for a walk around the village after they have eaten or supervise the children on the playground.

Training will be provided.
