Today the children had a visit from the dentist to teach the children about proper dental hygiene. The dentist discussed with the children the importance of how and why we need to look after our teeth and gums. All children had the opportunity to take part in different activities. They particularly enjoyed having a go at brushing the artificial teeth. They were reminded to sing the "Happy Birthday" song twice, which lasts for two minutes, which is the correct amount of time they should be brushing their teeth twice a day. At the conclusion of the session, the dentist gave each child a new toothbrush and toothpaste to take home, along with an informational pack and sticker.
