Visit to Sacrewell Farm
Sacrewell Farm School Visit
Today we went on our school trip to Sacrewell Farm. We took part in two workshops, how to make flour? And What gardeners need to grow learnt how farmers grow crops and turn the wheat into flour. We found out how the grain of wheat is grinded in a machine to make flour. We then mixed scone ingredient’s together to make delicious scones to take home with us! After we made our scone’s, we went to the gardens and found out about different plants we can grow. We had a brilliant plants and herbs hunt; we got to explore and find out about lots of different plants we can plant. We were really lucky to plant sweet peas and watch them grow in the classroom over the next few terms. After lunch we got to explore the farm and look at the different animals, we especially like looking at Larry the pig!
