This week was British Sign Language week.  Venetia from Happy Little Hands joined us to deliver an assembly for BSL week. Venetia taught all of the children how to sign the alphabet and we practised signing our names. 

In KS1, we listened to the story of 'The Hungry Caterpillar' by Eric Carle as Venetia signed along. 

In KS2, we were very interested to understand why and when somebody would use BSL.  We learnt to finger sign our names using BSL and Venetia set us a challenge to practice our spellings using BSL.
