Christmas Carol Concert

Ding Dong! Ding Dong! Ding Dong!

What a wonderful carol concert the children gave us on Thursday 19th December. It was so fantastic to hear them sing with such enthusiasm.  It was lovely to hear some of our Nativity Songs again from 'A Little Bird Told Me' performed by Ash and Elm Class.  Maple Class sang the 'Twelve Days of Christmas' using the Makaton signs to accompany them and Oak Class sang, 'Christmas is Starting.'  Our wonderful choir performed, 'We wish you a Merry Christmas,' and our whole school community joined in to sing 'Ding Dong!' Which is one of my personal favourites.

In between the wonderful singing, Elm Class gave a poetry reading for 'Twas the Night before Jesus' birth' and Rev. Sweeting kindly joined us to give a short reading and a blessing.  Thank you to all the staff who helped the children and put the concert together and thank you to all the parents for joining us at St Mary's Church.  We had a great time and really enjoyed ourselves.

Unfortunately, we had to say farewell to our wonderful SENCo and Class Teacher, Mrs Smith.  We know she will be greatly missed by our whole school community, and we wish her the very best in her future endeavours.

We would like to wish all of our families a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
